The site aim is to provide a photographic record of current and past rail operations in this area, and also to assist site visitors to select locations where they might want to take their own photographs. There are also a number of special feature pages, with hopefully at least one new page each month. These can feature rail operations anywhere in U.K. or parts of Europe. For historical information, one page shows a 1950's rail map of the area, and there are schematic diagrams of some local railways.
